Jarom Scott, BFA, BDES
Jarom Scott was born in Lethbridge, Alberta. Growing up, he loved to play sports and had an affinity for art. Shortly after graduating from high school, Jarom spent two years in Switzerland and France as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
After returning home from Europe, Jarom studied at MacEwan University and the University of Alberta. In 2004, he completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, with a major in painting and drawing. After graduation he worked with the Art and Artifact Collection with Museums and Collections Services at the U of A. In 2006, Jarom received an Alberta Foundation for the Arts Grant to paint Alberta landscapes. Jarom has also worked as an educator with the forward-thinking organization Learning Through the Arts as their Media Arts Coordinator for Alberta. In 2009, Jarom received a Bachelor of Design Degree from the U of A in visual communications design with a minor in business/marketing. During his design degree, he was encouraged by his photography professor, Tina Chang, to pursue photography.
Since 2010, Jarom has been working as a creative director, designer, photographer and cinematographer. His design work can be seen at uppercasecreative.ca. His photography and cinematography work can be found at lavignette.ca.
Jarom lives in Cardston with his wife Justine and his four children.
Halli Lilburn is a published author of young sci-fi, poetry and many short stories. She teaches art classes at CASA and Heart of Cardston Community Art Centre.
